Catherine lives by her favourite quote from Joseph Pilates himself “Change happens through movement and movement heals”, a philosophy that is reflected in her physiotherapy and pilates practices alike. Catherine is also a Crossfit enthusiast and coach. She firmly believes in the power of movement, in its countless forms and is passionate about getting people moving in a safe, encouraging, and fun manner!
Her approach to cancer rehabilitation is no different. Get moving to “feel better, live better”.
Through personal and clinical experience, Catherine has seen first-hand the physical and emotional impact cancer and its side-effects can have on the lives of people affected and the people close to them. Her PhD research and background as a Women’s Health Physiotherapist deepened her interest in both Pilates and cancer rehab. Catherine is a PINC and Steel Certified Cancer Rehabilitation therapist, and has extensive training in movement, pilates and rehabilitation.
The side-effects of cancer and cancer treatment are real but often it’s only those with a diagnosis and their loved ones who know the ongoing difficulties cancer treatment can bring.
Catherine aims to enhance cancer rehabilitation services, to improve the lives of people living with cancer and beyond, so they can feel better and live better!
