CARE @home is an evidence-based 3 phase rehabilitation programme designed to help you during and after treatment. The 3 phases help address the many side-effects of surgery and treatment focusing on range of movement and functionality, reducing pain, increasing energy levels and stamina and with an overall aim to improve overall quality of life. Furthermore, this online programme helps to address some of the barriers to cancer rehabilitation including accessibility and affordability. This course has been designed by Chartered Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor Dr Catherine Browne. Through personal and clinical experience, Catherine has seen first-hand the physical and emotional impact cancer and its side-effects can have on the lives of people affected and the people close to them. Her PhD research and background as a Women’s Health Physiotherapist deepened her interest in both Pilates and cancer rehab. Catherine is a PINC and STEEL Certified Cancer Rehabilitation therapist, and has extensive training in movement, pilates and rehabilitation.
